Hello there!

It’s me Jessica or Jess, Jessie, Townsend (my maiden name that my husband still uses…just like Jim Halpert *swoon*). I even answer to “respiratory". I’m a married mom of 4 (3 boys, 1 girl) and am pretty much treading water most of the time, like most moms! I’m also a Registered Respiratory Therapist which before COVID stormed our world a lot of people didn’t know what that was but in these “unprecedented times” my career has been put out in the forefront. It’s an understatement to say it’s been tough time lately for those of us working in healthcare.

I’ve always enjoyed playing around in design programs and making things like invitations for my friend’s wedding & baby showers and wall art for my home and friend’s homes. I decided to grant myself more self care by way of graphic design and creating this brand. I hope you enjoy the designs and products as much as I loved making them. I’m so glad you’re here!

Why ZiggyTown? I was a very shy baby in utero and my parents were not able to find out my sex before I was born. Because of this my parents called me “Ziggy” after my mom’s favorite cartoon comic character and the nickname stuck. I still have a cousin (Hi Monte!) that calls me this on a regular basis. Town comes from my maiden name. My father passed away when I was 14 and I wanted to use it as a way to honor his legacy since he only had girls and the name was unable to be carried on.

My favorite things: The color green. Kate Spade (particularly pre Liz Claiborne acquisition) and Francis Valentine. Cooking & baking. I’m more like a mad scientist in my kitchen rather than a cook because I have to alter recipes to accommodate my middle son’s severe food allergies.

All things Marvel. All things Harry Potter (I’m a proud Hufflepuff!). British TV (Doctor Who, Coupling, and Gavin and Stacey are a few of my favs), Gilmore Girls, Ted Lasso, The Office, Parks & Recreation and Schitts Creek.

Subjects that when brought up in conversation I will infodump about: mental health, respiratory therapy, birth/VBACs, motherhood, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, babywearing, musical theatre, feminism (why we NEED it), and ADHD (adult and child…currently my middle son and I have been diagnosed).
